Join us for Working Together Mississippi’s Annual Meeting on Friday, December 5 at New Horizon Church International in Jackson. We’ll gather from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend. Lunch will be provided.
Over the past year, WTM has deepened its presence across the state through new and growing local chapters—in Tupelo, Copiah County, Starkville, the Gulf Coast, Hattiesburg, DeSoto County, and elsewhere. These local efforts form the foundation of our statewide organizing work by developing leaders, strengthening civic participation, and helping Mississippians work together to achieve common goals. Leaders from our emerging local chapters will report on their progress, community challenges, and plans for the coming year.
This year’s meeting will also feature a special presentation by Policy Organizer Jake McGraw on the results of WTM's brain drain survey. More than 6,000 people have already taken the survey, which was created in partnership with Mississippi Today and the University of Mississippi's Center for Population Studies. This is the first statewide effort to identify the root causes and potential solutions for the brain drain. Together, we’ll discuss how communities can use the findings to retain and attract talented young people.
We invite all Mississippians committed to building a more vibrant, engaged, and democratic state to attend.
Please RSVP by November 28.
