What It Funds

Local Organizing Expansion

Hiring professional organizers to work in more communities, particularly DeSoto County, the Delta, and Southwest Mississippi. Each new organizer makes a new chapter possible — and every chapter adds institutions, leaders, and dues to the statewide base.

Leadership Development

Training local institutional leaders to take coordinated action across racial, religious, and partisan lines — through three-day trainings, continuous one-to-one work, and structured reflection on power and public life.

Statewide Issue Engagement

Mobilizing Mississippians from around the state on the three current initiatives — the research, the travel, the convenings, and the Capitol actions that turn local chapters into one network that can act together.

Sustainability

Creating a reserve fund so that a slow legislative year, a delayed grant, or a shift in foundation priorities never decides which campaign WTM can finish.
